The city of Bourgas is the second largest city on the Black Sea coast and is a regional administrative center.

It is situated in the western part of Bourgas Bay, 390km. from Sofia and is also fourth the forth largest city in the country after Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna. The quickest way to get to Bourgas is by airplane, with the international airport receiving flights from the UK, Ireland and Sofia, to name but a few.

One of the most beautiful places to visit in the city is the Sea Garden Park which is situated on a high shore, cut by flower beds, trees and sculptures. On the territory of the park you will find the casino, small zoo an open-air theatre (houses the annual International Folklore Festival), children's playgrounds, restaurants and bars. The central beach is set below the Sea Garden Park, with a beautiful forked staircase leading directly to the beach.

Other interesting sites to visit are: The museum of history, the art gallery, St. Cyril and Methodius cathedral, the Ethnographic museum, the museum of nature and science, the Philharmonic, the opera house and the theatre of drama. On the main streets of the city you will find a lot of restaurants, bars and shopping centers.
